About us

Twenty years of doing this, now answerable for something harder

We spent two decades getting good at executing search campaigns. Then the platforms got good at it too. What is left is the part they cannot do: deciding what is worth doing, and answering for whether it worked.

Sam Shetty, CEO of Digital Burst

Why we exist

The work changed, and most agencies have not said so

Almost every business owner we speak to has been burned. Usually by an agency that reported on impressions, locked them into twelve months, and produced a monthly PDF nobody read.

We started Digital Burst because the alternative — doing nothing — was worse. Search still produces the highest-intent enquiries available to most Australian businesses, and the AI shift is only making the gap between visible and invisible businesses wider.

So we built the version of an agency we'd want to hire: published prices, month-to-month terms, a named person who answers the phone, and reporting that talks about enquiries.

What we're actually good at

Search, in all its current forms. Getting a business found by someone with a problem to solve, whether that person types it into Google, asks an assistant, or clicks an ad. That's the whole thesis.

We're less useful if you need brand strategy, a TV campaign, or a rebrand. We'll refer you on rather than pretend.

Answers

About us, honestly

Who owns Digital Burst?

Digital Burst is part of the same group as E-Web Marketing, an Australian agency operating since 2005. Digital Burst exists specifically to serve smaller businesses that the traditional agency model prices out.

Is the work done in Australia?

Account management, strategy and client communication are all Sydney-based. Some production work — reporting assembly, technical implementation — is supported by an offshore team we've worked with for years. We'll tell you exactly which parts if you ask.

How many clients does each account manager handle?

Between eight and twelve, depending on programme complexity. We cap it deliberately, because the failure mode of cheap agency work is an account manager with forty clients and no time to think.

What won't you do?

Buy links from networks, write fake reviews, guarantee rankings, lock you into a twelve-month contract, or take on a client we don't think we can help. Each of those has cost us revenue and none of them are negotiable.
